2013 NBA Playoff Possibilities – There is just one day left in the 2013 NBA season, and here at Total Choice, we aren’t just giving you the best NBA picks on the internet, but we’re also helping you out by showing you all of the NBA playoff scenarios. Some of the teams are going to have absolutely nothing to play for this year, while some have everything on the line and will be playing for their lives.

Eastern Conference Playoff Scenarios

The only matter up in the air in the East is whether the Atlanta Hawks or the Chicago Bulls will be the No. 5 seed. A Chicago win or an Atlanta loss would put the Bulls in the No. 4 seed to face the Brooklyn Nets, while it would take a Hawks win and a Chicago loss to send Atlanta into the No. 5 slot.

Games of Note
Washington @ Chicago (8:00)
Atlanta @ New York (8:00)

Western Conference Playoff Scenarios

In the West, there are a ton of other issues. The only items that we know is that the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs will be No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. The Memphis Grizzlies will be the No. 5 seed, but they could still get home court advantage in the first round with a win and a loss by the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Denver Nuggets will be the No. 3 seed with a win on Wednesday or with losses by both LA and Memphis. The Clippers will move up to No. 3 with a win and a Denver loss. Either the Nuggets or the Clippers will be the No. 4 seed. Denver is guaranteed home court advantage in the first round of the second season.

A win puts the Golden State Warriors in the No. 6 seed. A Houston Rockets loss would do the same thing. Houston is currently in the No. 7 seed. A win and a Golden State loss would put the Rockets in the No. 6 seed. A win and a Golden State win leaves Houston in the No. 7 slot. A loss leaves Houston at No. 8.

That leaves the last playoff spot to decide. The situation starts with the Utah Jazz. The Jazz have to win on Wednesday in the 8:00 p.m. hour to keep their playoff chances alive. If Utah loses, the Los Angeles Lakers are in the playoffs. If Utah wins though, the Lakers have to win on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET to get in. LA will be the No. 7 seed with a win regardless of what else happens, and the only way it could be in the No. 8 seed is if both it and Utah lose.

Games of Note
Utah @ Memphis (8:00)
Phoenix @ Denver (8:00)
Golden State @ Portland (10:30)
LA Clippers @ Sacramento (10:30)
Houston @ LA Lakers (10:30)
