Washington Nationals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday Free Pick: The oddsmakers have made a massive mistake on Saturday afternoon on the MLB odds, and we are going to take full advantage of it. The Pittsburgh Pirates are relatively sizeable +128 underdogs against the Washington Nationals, and as MLB expert handicappers, we know that this is something that we are going to take full advantage of. The first pitch will be thrown at PNC Park at 4:05 p.m. ET in what should be the second straight win in this series for the Bucs.

The Nationals are a great team, but they aren’t playing remarkable baseball at the moment. They are just 15-15 on the campaign, and they are playing against a team that is now 16-7 in its last 23 games. Pittsburgh isn’t a joke this year, and Washington is learning about it in this game. The reason that the Nationals are favored in this game is because of RHP Stephen Strasburg is on the bump. Of course, Strasburg is going to be a favorite in just about every situation we can think of, but at this point, it really isn’t deserved. Remember that he is coming off of a start which he was pulled from with what was classified as “forearm tightness.” The Nats have already proven that they are going to be as careful as they can with Strasburg, and that might mean a short outing in this game. On top of this, we think that Pittsburgh’s LHP Jeff Locke is a legitimate star in the making. He walks too many batters and probably doesn’t strike out enough, but he finds ways to get the job done. He’ll do the same on Sunday. The Pirates are the best MLB play of the day on Saturday. Nationals vs. Pirates Free Pick for May 4th: Take the Pittsburgh Pirates +128
