Final Four – Michigan vs. Syracuse Free Pick: The Big East and the Big Ten were largely recognized as the two most dominating conferences in college basketball this season. On Saturday night, the last team standing from the Big Ten, the Michigan Wolverines will take a stab at one of the two teams left in the Big East, the Syracuse Orange in the Final Four. The Big Blue Nation is the favored side on the Final Four odds in this one at -2, but there is no doubt that the defensive-minded Orange are out to beat that number and win this game. The ‘total’ is relatively high at 131, and we think that this is the right free pick to make for what could be a fantastic game.

The pace of Syracuse games really has gotten grinded down to an absolute halt at times. The Marquette Golden Eagles, a team that averaged right around 70 points per game this season and loved to push the tempo, just couldn’t get anything going against this unit. Marquette was held to just 39 points for the game, marking the second foe that failed to reach 40 against the 2-3 zone. The Orange haven’t had a great offensive tournament, averaging just 60.7 points per game over the course of their last three. Michigan meanwhile, is shooting the ball lights out here in the dance, hitting at least 28 shots in all of its games. We just don’t see how the Orange are going to allow anywhere near that many shots to fall on Saturday, and if that’s the case, regardless of how this one ends up, it shouldn’t get into the 130s. Free Final Four Pick: Under 131
