NIT Finals – Iowa vs. Baylor Free Pick: While the Final Four is ready to gear up in Atlanta, all eyes will be on Madison Square Garden on Thursday night for some great college basketball betting action in the NIT Finals. The Iowa Hawkeyes have stormed through their first four games of the NIT, and they are going to be taking on the Baylor Bears for the right to be called the champs of the secondary tournament in the nation. Iowa is getting the nod by a single point, and the ‘total’ has risen just a bit from 139 ½ to 141 ½. Tip time is slated for 9:00 p.m. ET, and there will be live television coverage of the event on ESPN.

When you get to this point in any postseason tournament, it becomes awfully tough to try to handicap. On one hand, we absolutely love what Baylor has done. The Bears have flown up and down the court, have averaged just about 90 points per game in this tournament, and have gotten at least 20 points out of both Pierre Jackson and Cory Jefferson in each of their last three games. For as great as that is, when you look back at the schedule that Baylor had to face to get here, the only game with any resistance was the second round win over Arizona State. All three games in the early portion of this tournament were played in Waco, and the team didn’t have to face a No. 1 seed to reach the NIT Final. Iowa had to go on the road to Charlottesville and deal with Virginia, and it had the much tougher challenge in the NIT Final Four against Maryland. Iowa has covered 10 games in a row, and it is playing well on both sides of the court. Roy-Devyn Marble has been a hero for Head Coach Fran McCaffery and company, and we think that he is going to be in for a fifth straight game with at least 21 points, as the Hawkeyes take down the NIT Championship at the expense of the Big XII reps.
